Malaysia’s First Inter‑School Drone Soccer Competition involving 36 schools

Malaysia has successfully hosted its first-ever inter-school drone soccer competition, an initiative organised by the Ministry of Education with technical support from FIDA Malaysia (Cybersphere Drone Soccer). The tournament was conducted using SkyKick equipment and adhered strictly to official FIDA rules, ensuring a professional and internationally aligned standard of play.

Despite having only one month to prepare, participating schools demonstrated extraordinary commitment. Students quickly adapted to the sport’s technical and tactical demands, showcasing impressive talent, creativity, and teamwork. The event revealed a strong pool of emerging young players with the potential to represent Malaysia on larger stages.

Encouraged by the overwhelming response and the quality of competition, organisers are already planning the next inter-school tournament in the coming months, aiming to expand participation and further strengthen Malaysia’s drone soccer ecosystem.

This inaugural event marks a significant milestone—setting the foundation for a vibrant, competitive, and future-ready drone sports culture in Malaysia.
